Ra'mon Lawrence S/S 2012 Presentation

This past Saturday, I attended Ra'mon Lawrence's Spring/Summer 2012 presentation at Happy Monkey Studios in Midtown.  You may remember Ra'mon from Season 6 of Project Runway.
I was pleasantly surprised with the collection.   Although I was a big fan of his when he was on the show, he hasn't been in the public eye as much as former contestants like Christian Siriano.
The collection was full of breezy, sheer fabrics.  There was a nice mix of color, prints, and neutrals.  The styling was amazing.  I was especially loving the jewelry designed by Chicago native Robyne Robinson.
This was one of my favorite looks. Loved the double-duty statement necklaces paired with the interesting print and oversized belt.
I was so stoked to meet Coco and Breezy!!!    I'm a  big fan of theirs.  I spotted them back in July at Africa Fashion Week but didn't approach them.  Don't know why, because they were so friendly!!
Was LOVING this sheer ensemble.  I would buy this look in a heartbeat.
Black and white prints in different patterns were big in this collection.
More awesome jewelry.  Talk about a statement necklace!!  Not only is the color striking, but it also resembles a coral reef.  Also loving the white and gold circular piece.
Yummy drinks were provided by Stoli.
Me and the designer himself.  He said he would've cast me as a model for his presentation so of course I gave him one of my business cards.  There's always next season, right??
Awesome tribal-inspired look.
This was a great presentation! The models mixed it up by striking different poses and rotating around the room. It's a very fresh collection that is effortless and easy to wear.  Looking forward to more from Ra'mon.
